Transcendence without a Yoga cult

My deepest fear when I started to abandon my academic background and talk about spirituality is that people would perceive me to be dumb. Belief has a bad reputation; ignorant conservative Christian, vapid consumer in Lululemon pants.

I learned later that these are just judgements meant to isolate myself, protect the ego. Any critical analysis with the intent to create an opposition towards an alternate experience outside what is perceived as self is an attempt to negate the intrinsic connection to spirit we have that expands outside of our interior world.

Without compassion or connection to the world around us we will never heal this generational phase which has been too long focused on division. I have hope. You see the seeds in us approach it from the form of learning we as westerners have agreed is valid which comes in the form of a collected history and discussion of the knowledge that holds.

This is when we begin to speak about race. We are aware that this lack of compassion has create a great misunderstanding based around our classificaton of others experience being less valuable than our own. The stories we have been told about ourselves need to be lifted – all of them. You experience truth when your heart is open. Nothing is good or bad about anything else, it just is. If someone is a certain way it is not your resistance which changes it. If you accept things how they are, it will accept you too. Everything you loved and hated is all within you. It’s easier to love everything around you as a preparation for that self which will one day be that which you are perceiving.

The easiest mantra to implement positive change towards yourself is:

 No judgment.

When you find yourself observing a subject and making conclusions about that subject, interrupt it –

No judgment.

Do this with yourself too.

It is always the same.

It needs no classification.

You are always free.

Namaste. ❤

  1. Have you ever experienced complete loss of ego?

Do you think that there is an ultimate truth? What else for a quest when categories, language, and biases impede?

Yes, in a way, every person is probably every quite literally every other person, and probably also every molecule in the universe, which probably also has consciousness on many levels that a human mind can’t comprehend. The depth of all of this, I think, is where categories came into play, and from this, things ran down a road of increasing complexity, which might be described by entropy, and the ego ran wild.

Nothing is new…it’s all waiting to be rediscovered.

Freedom may or may not be a relative term.

  2. what about when the thing you are judging is someone being racist towards you? is that not a bad thing about them?

    1. what i mean is – if you really accept this person how they are, including their racism, you put them in a position where they will further be justified, and allow them to negate you.

of course, you can disengage from them, but that’s something totally other than “acceptance”.

  4. There are so many people posting anonymously that I can’t really determine who is for real…but I’m confused about positions, placements, etc… It’s an arbitrary reality clouded by judgement intended for this physical world. Obsolete, same as our economic and societal systems, but not useless until differences are eliminated from our world, which will be soon, hopefully.

  5. Anonymously, where can you place an individual? So here, as anywhere, does it matter? Will it sort itself out on its own? What’s the difference between acceptance and change besides ego?
